Dr. Rosa-e-Silva is an Associate Professor and Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Ribeirão Preto School of Medicine. He is the Scientific Director of the Brazilian Endometriosis Society (SBE), President of the National Committee of Specialists in Endometriosis from the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FEBRASGO), Member of the World Endometriosis Society (WES) and AAGL. Meanwhile, he serves as an Associate Editor or as a reviewer for multiple medical journals related to women’s health.

Dr. Rosa-e-Silva graduated from the Ribeirão Preto School of Medicine (1991-1996) as a medical doctor and did his residency (Gynecology and Obstetrics) (1997-2000) and fellowship (Human Reproduction and Gynecological Endoscopy) (2000-2002) training there as well. He obtained his Master's degree (2002-2004) and PhD (2004-2007) in Gynecology and Obstetrics also at Ribeirão Preto School of Medicine. He developed some Research and did his Clinical Fellow at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of Valencia – the University of Valencia and Institute Valencian of Infertility (IVI) (2005-2006) - Advisor: Antonio Pellicer, and did his post-doctoral stage as an associate visiting Professor at Yale School of Medicine (2017-2018) - Advisor: Hugh S Taylor.

Dr. Rosa-e-Silva received multiple research grants for studies on endometriosis from some of the Brazilian National Institutes – São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), National Council for Scientific and Technological (CNPQ), and Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), among others. He is the Principal Investigator from the Brazilian Centre for Advanced Research on Endometriosis (Braz-CARE) (Research Group from CNPQ). He has authored or co-authored over 170 peer-reviewed publications as well as numerous book chapters on Endometriosis, Chronic Pelvic Pain, and Gynecological Surgery.
