Dr. Bairong Xia is Executive Deputy Director of The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The First Affiliated Hospital of USTC, and Head of the Department of Gynecological Oncology, West Area of the First Affiliated Hospital of USTC.
Dr. Xia is engaged in gynecological medical teaching and clinical research for a long time, and has in-depth research on various gynecological diseases, especially cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, vulvar cancer and other gynecological malignant tumors. She is adept at various gynecological surgeries, especially laparoscopic radical cervical cancer surgery, laparoscopic endometrial cancer staging surgery, and Ro surgery for ovarian cancer.
Dr. Xia is an author in renowned international journals such as Molecular Cancer. She has published more than 40 SCI papers related to gynecological tumors. The highest single impact factor was 27.401.
She is PI for over 10 different projects, ranging from national-level ones represented by National Natural Science Foundation of China to provincially funded projects, and a number of Harbin municipal projects of Gynecology and Obstetrics. Besides, Dr. Xia has also won several provincial science and technology Application awards.
