Antonio Braga, MD, PhD

Research interests: gestational trophoblastic disease

Dr. Braga obtained his Medical Degree in 2004, Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2006, Master and PhD in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2007 and 2009 (São Paulo State University), Postdoc at Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School (2010) and Charing Cross Hospital / Imperial College of London (2012).

Actually he is Professor of Obstetrics at Rio de Janeiro Federal University and Fluminense Federal University. He is Director of the Rio de Janeiro Trophoblastic Disease Center and team leader of the Brazilian Trophoblastic Disease Study Group. Author of more than 100 articles published in international peer-review journals, 5 books, more than 100 book and 1,000 scientific meetings presentations.

He has been personally invited as speakers in more than 1,000 national and international meetings and he has actively organized more than 100 national and international courses and scientific meetings.

He is actually member of the International Society for the Study of Trophoblastic Disease (ISSTD) and presides the Brazilian National Specialized Committee on Gestational Trophoblastic Disease at FEBRASGO.
