We are honored to announce that Gynecology and Pelvic Medicine had been accepted for indexing by PubMed/PubMed Central (PMC), a free digital archive database of full-text journal literature in biomedical and life sciences. All articles published since 2024, beginning with Vol 7(1), will be fully indexed in PMC and accessible via PubMed, a search engine/database of biomedical citations and abstracts.
The inclusion of Gynecology and Pelvic Medicine in PubMed/ PMC is an international recognition of the quality of its contents. It would mean that articles published in the journal, freely accessible through PMC and PubMed will gain increasing visibility and expanding influence worldwide.
Gynecology and Pelvic Medicine (ISSN 2617-4499; Gynecol Pelvic Med; GPM) is an international peer-reviewed, open-access journal covering various aspects in the field of gynecology and pelvic medicine, including gynecological oncology (with focus on ovarian cancer and cervical carcinoma), pelvic medicine (with focus on pelvic organ prolapses, pelvic pain, urinary tract infections, and interstitial cystitis), and benign gynecological disease (including infection, endometriosis, abnormality, endocrinology, etc) (figure 1). It serves as the Official Journal of the West China Second University Hospital of Sichuan University/West China Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The journal is indexed and covered by the Web of Science [Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)], and received its first impact factor of 0.3 for the year 2024.

Since it was launched, GPM has been adhering to the international diversified development strategy and formed an international editorial team. There are currently 80 active members from 14 countries sitting on board (Figure 2), with the majority from China, the USA, and Italy.

As of December 2025, GPM has published a total of 277 articles with diverse types (Figures 3-4), including corresponding authors from 25 countries, primarily from the China (39%), followed by USA (17%) (Figures 5).

Apart from the diverse international editorial board members/authors, GPM also has readers/users all over the world. GPM has attracted 105,292 website users (figure 6) from 202 countries/regions in 2025, with the USA accounting for the largest proportion (26%). In 2025, GPM received 208,620 page views, an increase of 14.5% compared to 2024 (182,190 views) (figure 7).
